General (Ret‚d) Paul Manson, President of the Conference of Defence Associations Institute (CDAI), is pleased to announce that the CDAI will be hosting a luncheon on June 15 honouring the Secretary General of NATO, His Excellency Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. The event will begin at 1200 hours in the Barney Danson Theater of the Canadian War Museum.

At the luncheon the Secretary General will present an address entitled „NATO in a Changing World‰. See the NY TImes' article NATO takes up challenge in Afghanistan's south below as a prime example of NATO's involvement in this changing world.

The Canadian Institute of International Affairs (National Capital Branch), Queen‚s University, the Atlantic Council of Canada, NATO Public Diplomacy Division, and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade are joining the CDAI in making this event possible.

L'OTAN DANS UNE MONDE EN ÉVOLUTION

Le général (ret.) Paul Manson, président de l‚Institut de la Conférence des associations de la défense, a le plaisir d‚annoncer que l‚ICAD organisera un déjeuner, le 15 juin prochain, en l‚honneur du secrétaire général de l‚OTAN, Son Excellence Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. Cette activité commencera à midi, au théâtre Barney-Danson du Musée canadien de la guerre.

Lors de ce déjeuner, le secrétaire général prononcera une allocution intitulée
« L'OTAN dans un monde en évolution ».

L‚Institut canadien des affaires internationales (Branche de la capitale nationale), l‚Université Queen‚s, le Conseil atlantique du Canada, la Divison de la diplomatie publique de l'OTAN, et le ministère des Affaires étrangères et du Commerce international se sont joints à l‚ICAD pour rendre possible cette activité.
